This is one of my favorite insert chips when it comes to looks and especially feel. The 13-gram weight is a bit heavy for my liking, but the composite mixture on this chip makes it the best texture for not slipping. It is a bit soft and does scratch easily, but the scratches blend easily like a clay chip with use. These chips also have a slight recession in the middle, which is great for applying your own custom labels. They have great looking edge spots that are molded into the chip and great color combinations as well…
While this chip has a metallic sound, it’s not near as bad as most because of weight and composite mixture.
Each chip has an injection pimple located on the face of the chip, just under the rim.
Sample chip diameters averaged 40.3 mm and weights averaged 13 grams respectfully…
What I’m not crazy about: While the appearance of these chips are quite nice, they do tend to be a bit crude when it comes to finishing the rolling edge of the chip. The rolling edges on some of the chips have a bit of leftover residue from the mold that can be easily removed with the backside of a knife blade. If you don’t mind taking some time to do this, you’ll end up with a very nice looking chip…
