While this company does not produce chips for Las Vegas Casinos or any other casino I know of, it is a truly remarkable chip for the money. So I guess there needs to be some justification for putting this chip in "The Real Deal" category. I'll do this by comparing it to a Chipco Chip that does supply Vegas casinos. There is not much difference when it comes to looks, sound or texture – Although Chipco's colors are more vibrant.
The texture of the chip is very smooth, but not slippery. It has about the same texture as a Chipco chip and like a Chipco the feel improves with use.
The color depth of this chip is comparable to Chipco's (maybe a bit deeper) and should wear well. It took the shaving of several layers with a sharp knife to remove the image. Once the chip is marred (not done easily), you can see the white composite just like a Chipco and it does not improve much with use.
Chipco has a noticeable injection pimple on the rolling edge with some protrusion and the Coconut has no noticeable pimple.
Sample chip diameters averaged 39.1 mm and weights averaged 9.99 grams respectfully.
One thing that I find truly unique and likable about this chip is it has different images on the front and the back…
What I'm not crazy about: The colors of the different denominations of these chips do not have enough contrast in color on the faces (the edges are colored well) of chips for my liking. It's a little hard to tell the difference at first glance. All in all, this chip's a lot of Bang for the Buck!
